We are not experts in all subject matter
General terms of internet sale
we strive to provide accurate descriptions, but having a bit of experience helps.
JasonBStuff offers items of all sorts from estate clean outs. Even after 20+ years, every week we find items we don't know what it is! So, in our listings we have added: If you want to add some information about the postcard, or add some expertise, feel free. JasonBStuff will post it. This is our way to help identify items, and correct mistakes.
Buyers may not be familiar what it takes to get a listing on ebay, but it takes time to find the items, sort the found items. Then the items need to be prepared for sale: Photos, descriptions, set the item up in ebay data base with all the information. Then during the sale answer emails & do corrections if needed.
After the sale the item needs to be packed, and shipped.
Doing shipping on Monday helps stream line the shipping time, and makes it easier to do. Going to the post office one time a week, packing items one day a week. Found this saves time. It also helps keep track of everything too.
The number at the beginning of the title is a lot number...
Found that placing a lot number at the beginning of the title line helps in 2 main ways.
1- Items are easier to find when shipping.
2- Accounting and tracking.
When a payment is made the invoice has the title line printed on the invoice, so the item can be found most the time without having to open the description page to find it. And using lot numbers help in keeping track of any money made or lost in a group of item.
For example, If JasonBStuff gets a group of items from a source on one day, then another the next, the items will get a different lot number. Keeping track of the cost of goods sold, and so on... Accounting with dates in and out...
a- Items are usually listed on Thursday or Friday.
This way works to get buyers to make a faster payment, because we ship on
Monday, so if they don't pay, they need to wait a week to get the item shipped.
Depending on how the internet connection is, Holidays, and other factors. If
ebay offers a sale so on...
b- Auctions run for 7 days.
JasonBStuff runs 7 day auctions. At this time we do not have a store. We only
run auctions.
We have had ebay store in the past, but they keep raising the cost, and now I
think it is up to 20.00 a month, and a huge 12% selling rate. Also the insert
fees on top of that! when they first started the store it was 9.99 a month
something like 2 or 3% and the insertion fee was 1 cent and 3 cents!
c- Auctions do not end early with Buy It Now.
(Please, no email asking for BIN price)
We added this in our descriptions after getting too many emails asking to end auctions early. After adding this we dropped the amount of emails received. This was good to add to the description page, because we want to reduce the number of emails as much as possible to save time. The idea is to find ways to save time, and make it easier to sell on ebay.
All payments will be made
with PayPal.
Sorry, but JasonBStuff is no longer accepting checks, or money
orders.
This is apparently a ebay thing now.
If a buyer needs to mail in a payment, we want to still work with you. Looks like a lot of sellers are still taking mail in payments, so email for payment info. after the auction to mail in a payment.
JasonBStuff charges a handling fee up to 3.50 to help pay for the packing and shipping of the items being offered for sale. This handling fee pays for supplies, and related labor cost needed to pack and ship items.
Found that after adding a photo of other items for sale increases combined shipping orders. What JasonBStuff does is provides a photo for the items in the lot number at the beginning of the title line. This works good, when we get the photos to work HA HA! Sometimes for some reason the photos don't show up. Working on that.
