Unrealistic gold buyer claims!
More examples of other buyers of gold buyers claiming to pay the highest price for gold. Some even offer to pay more than any advertised price!
Have you found anyone offering a stated percentage of spot price payout without any gimmicks?

I found one with this claim:
"We pay 85% of the N.Y. Stock Market Price. Keep in mind the price for the N.Y. Spot is for One Troy Ounce of 24K Gold. We have done the full conversion from 10K to 24K at 70% for you." 70% for you! Well this is just ridiculous! The conversion would be 85%!
I find several offering to pay 10% more than any advertised price, so get a
price from me, and than call them. See what they tell you! How many can you
find? "In fact if you get a written quote from ANY Gold buyer and send it with
your Gold,
we will beat it by 10%."
I thought I found a real good one, but then found the glitch: They do not know what they are talking about!
"Guaranteed 85% Spot Price Cash Payout for Scrap Gold!" A link that goes to a
dead link page. Then I found some interesting claims on the site:
"First, look for the karat stamp of your piece. Then, go to goldprice.org
to see today’s price for a troy ounce (31.1 grams) of 24 karat pure gold. If
your jewelry is less than 24 karat, discount it accordingly. 18 karat is priced
at 75%, 14 karat is worth 58.3%, 10 karat is 41.7%." 14K is .585 58.5%, not 583.
58.3%.
Then on the same site: "Then deduct 10-20% for the refinement costs, and add whatever profit the middleman purchaser requires from reselling it." Refinement cost is a 2% burn off rate! Where they get 10-20% is beyond comprehension to anyone who knows anything about gold refining.
